Network Administrators are tasked with monitoring networks for companys. They are supposed to make sure networks run smoothly and and solve problems with them if they arise. They often also keep servers up to date and they also assist with upgrading hardware.

Network administration has a few different paths a far as education is concerned. You can go through a univerty degree of network administration or compurter science or sometimes cyber security.

Other than the university path you could also go through college. You could do a network administration course such as the one at nbcc and usually you can take that and continue into a full degree.

This Career has many benefits. In network administration you have great job security and there are many jobs opening up in this career. you also have a pretty good salary and network administration is the starting point for many careers including but not limited to cyber security, infrastructure engineering, network engineering, and database engineering.

Some challenges you may face include having to constantly retrain to stay up to date with new tech, users being idiots and impatient. There is also the issue of often being on call to come in and fix problems as they come up.
